An Orange Affair
Today was nice. I went to my aunt and uncle's house with the family, and my uncle happens to be pretty good at working with wood. And with his help, I now have the wood pieces to make my own diablo! I just need to bolt it together and get some strings.
Anyway, we always have a good time with two smith families together. And this is the outfit I wore.
I'm wearing an old navy dress that was on sale for $15, with a crop top from the clearance rack at kohls for $2.60. It makes it look completely different! My belt is something I've had forever, and the necklace was my moms.
These earrings I bought from a friend who was cleaning out her old jewelry, $2.
And this headband I got from a tap dance in our recital.
We finished up the night with some belated fourth of July fireworks in the backyard!
Also, My uncle has a huge black lab named Chester,
And this is an accurate representation of a good time with the Smiths....oh family gatherings....

Icing on the cake
As if today couldn't get any lovelier, after running around the house feeling like a fairy and eating popsicles (100 percent whole fruit) in the summer heat, my family's package from "Hands On" art studio arrived today. We visited there when we went on vacation, it's in fish creek Wisconsin. We spent all day creating things, and they fired them in the kiln and sent them to us! I made this fantastically adorable little mod teapot, whom I've decided to name "Janet". In my growing collection of teapots, she is my new favorite. Admittedly she has her faults, when I poured tea it dribbled down the front and made a bit of a mess, but with the amount of tea I drink, I'll probably just end up drinking from the spout anyway ;)
Oh! And we're going to go to air traffic to learn how to juggle now.
Update: I learned how to use a diabolo at air traffic and played with my juggling sticks. I'm going to work on astrojax tomorrow and get myself a proper yoyo so I can do yoyo tricks too. Made myself some poi, because why not learn it all? oh, and I can juggle with three balls now. maybe I'll add some or try pins next?

Grace, one of my little sisters, spent about 4 hours on this fused glass piece.
And my family made a fused glass wind chime.Oh! And we're going to go to air traffic to learn how to juggle now.

Hot Day, Cool Outfit
Look at the Celtic goodness!
I'm wearing shorts AND t-shirt from Old Navy, and comfy summer sandals from Tradehome.

I'm quite proud of my hair today! braided my own headband successfully, and topped of my bun with a vintage silver bow.

But overall my favorite piece of the day is this necklace-watch-pendant...thing. Graduation gift from mom, I thought it tied the earrings together nicely.
